WineStation 101: A Deep Dive Look At The Capabilities Of The Industry Leading WineStation

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]WineStation is the #1 provider of the most effective intelligent wine preservation and dispensing technology in North America. Are you aware of the dozens of unique features that make WineStation the top-choice for so many businesses? From top-of-the-line security features to easy maintenance and operation, WineStation is your go-to preservation unit. Read on to discover how each of the  WineStation features work to keep your wine preserved and your profits flowing.

Preservation
No one wants to drink a stale, oxidized glass of wine. Preservation is key to not only maximizing your wine inventory but increasing your guests’ experience.

How it works:

  • After opening a wine bottle, a clean pour dispensing head is placed on the bottle, which reseals the bottle and makes it ready to be inserted into the WineStation.
  • With one simple press of a button, the air in the bottle is removed, and Argon gas is dispersed into the bottle; creating a protective layer of gas above the wine.
  • Argon gas is an ‘inert’ gas which means it has no flavor or aroma and has zero effect on the wine.
  • The protective layer of Argon prevents oxygen (which causes oxidation causing the wine to spoil) from touching the wine.
  • The wine stays perfectly preserved for up to 60 days in the system.
  • The bottle can now also be removed from the WineStation and remains preserved outside the system for up to 2 weeks (depending on storage conditions).

Changing Bottles
Bottle replacement is extremely simple and fast; designed to handle high-volume environments.

How it works:

  • When a bottle is finished, the clean pour dispensing head is removed, quickly rinsed under water, and then put on the next full bottle.
  • The bottle is now ready to be inserted back into the WineStation- that simple!
  • No flushing of any internal tubes, to remove residual wine, or other preparation, is required.

In general, there is an approximate 10% profit loss due to over-generous pours and theft. With pouring accuracy and preservation, you can save up to 15-25% revenue annually just from incorporating WineStation alone! With flex pour options you can place upscale luxury bottles on your wines by the glass list to help edge consumers into a wine that they’ve always wanted to try.

How it works:

  • Pouring sizes can be customized in .25 oz increments up to 9oz.
  • PRO TIP: If you need pours larger than 9oz. you can always set up a pour size ½ the size you need, and then press the button 2x.
  • The most common configuration is a “taste,” “half-glass,” “full-glass,” this can be adjusted to whatever best fits your business model.

Partial Pours
If there is not enough wine in the bottle to complete the pour size selected The WineStation automatically tracks how much wine had initially been poured then calculates how much more wine is needed to complete the pour size selected.

How it works:

  • When a new bottle is inserted into the WineStation, the “Resume Pour” function appears on the screen.
  • The staff only has to press the “Resume” button for the system to automatically complete the remaining pour required.

Security Access
Worried about access? The WineStation only pours when an active Staff Card, activated Hotel Room Key, or paid SmartCard is inserted.

How it works:

  • As long as there is no card inserted in the system and the key is removed from the door at closing, no unauthorized personnel have access to the wine.
  • For areas with standalone WineStations, the security access allows placement of the WineStation anywhere (including floor staff stations and high traffic areas like airports and hotel lobbies to maximize on passive wine sales.)

Temperature
Keeping wines stored at ideal temperatures is key to serving a great tasting glass of wine and preserving the longevity of stored wines.

How it works:

  • The WineStation utilizes Cutting Edge Thermoelectric cooling instead of compressors.
  • These are quiet, environmentally friendly, and there’s no moving parts.
  • Temperature control is by the unit, not by individual bottle position.
  • The temperature can easily be changed at any time.

Reporting
Curious how much volume you are selling of one wine vs. another? Need to know what your top sellers are for reordering and quick? WineStation reporting has you covered.

How it works:

  • Basic on-screen pour volume reporting is available via the manager’s menu.
  • This allows you to compare pour volumes from the WineStation to P.O.S. sales volumes.

Cleaning and Maintenance
Cleaning and maintaining other systems can be a process that takes a lot of time, energy, and effort. However, WineStation requires very little ongoing maintenance other than keeping the machine clean- which is very simple to do.

How it works:

  • Keep the clean pour dispensing heads & ‘Pickup Tubes’ clean; both can simply be rinsed with warm water or run through the dishwasher.
  • ‘Pickup Tubes’ can be reused many times, but may be disposed of if they become too stained with red wine. (A package of tubes is included with the WineStation and can be re-ordered).
  • There are no internal tubes to flush!

Gas
Argon gas connects to the WineStation via a flexible plastic tube, and with on-screen alerts, it’s easy to monitor levels and know when to reorder.

How it works:

  • Most restaurants either place the gas tank in a cabinet below the units, or small tanks can also fit behind the units themselves (depending on your bar layout).
  • If the gas tank must be placed far away from the system, a Gas Tube extension can be arranged.

Technical Support
The WineStation is the most reliable system in the marketplace today. Due to the intelligent design of the system, including very few moving parts and no internal tubing, the WineStation enjoys a 99% uptime.  However, if problems do unfortunately arise, you can rest assured that Napa Technology has top-rated technicians available locally throughout the United States ready to assist you.

Placement
The WineStation is designed to be flexible to suit your space.

Pro Tips:

  • Units can be placed flush against a back wall.
  • 2 or more units can be placed flush up against each other, but can also be separated as far apart as desired.
  • Units should NOT be placed by any heat source (e.g., stoves or refrigeration exhaust) that blow hot air onto the units.
  • Please make sure there is at least 2 inches around the units (top and sides) for airflow.

Unit Dimensions

  • Width: 19.6” – 49.76 c
  • Height: 25.58” – 64.87 cm (including 1″ for leveling feet)
  • Depth: 16” – 40.44 cm
